Oil painting on oval canvas, The Reverend John Hammond I, British (English) School, circa 1720. An oval half-length portrait of Reverend John Hammond I. His is wearing clerical dress including a white wig. He is positioned to the right, looking directly at the spectator. Believed to have been painted posthumously. In a gilded oval frame. John Hammond I was the son of Reverend John Hammond and Alice Lucy. He was the Rector of Tolland, Somerset and married Sarah Morley (533830)..
