Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Possibly Davenport Lucy (c.1659/60 - 1690) (previously called Elizabeth Lucy, later Mrs Clement Throckmorton (d.1671), as a child huntress), British (English) School, circa 1660. A three quarter-length portrait of a child, with a direct gaze with the spectator, standing in a landscape holding a bow and with two arrows in a green sash. Wearing a pink dress with blue ribbon round the waist. In rectangular gilt frame.
Provenance
Presented to the National Trust by Sir Montgomerie Fairfax-Lucy (1896 – 1965), two years after the death of his father, Sir Henry Ramsay-Fairfax, 3rd Bt (1870 – 1944), with Charlecote Park and its chief contents, in 1946
