Summary
Oval gold tobacco box, lid chased with Cupid riding a lion in landscape with pagodas, figures and trees, and blank coat of arms. Side with narrow band of pagodas and flowers, interior of lid engraved with coat-of-arms of 3 boar's heads. Javanese, early C18.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
