Oil painting on canvas, A Covey of Partridges in a Landscape by Pieter Casteels (Antwerp 1684 – Richmond 1749) or Jakob Bogdani (Eperjes (now Presov), Hungary c.1660 – Finchley 1724). Covey of partridges in foreground, group of trees beyond at right with eight rabbits, view across fields to wood on left.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
