Summary
A black japanned metal trunk, with a red pattern and with a brass plate on top engraved 'Lord Fairhaven'. A metal lock, two wire clip fastenings, two metal handles to sides. The interior is divided at one end to accommodate a bicorn hat and Lord Lieutenant's robes. Label 'Rogers and Company, 9 New Burlington Street, Savile Row, London'.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust in 2005 by the 3rd Lord Fairhaven.
