Summary
A mahogany strong box stand, English, early 19th Century, with a moulded edge and a frieze centred by a medallion carved with a bust of Lord Nelson and raised on angled square section legs headed by tablets carved with an 'N' and tied by a shelf stretcher with a pierced fretwork carved gallery, termination on stylized lions paw feet.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
