Summary
Pot-helmet (Zishagge), neck defence of 4 lames and hinged ear defence, skull with wide flutes, falling nasal guard, attached 'bats-wing' pierced with hearts and lozenges, and fluted wings. Probably Hungarian or Polish. c.1630.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
