Summary
These items compile of a circular black glazed red earthenware tea bowl, everted rim and raised on foot ring and a matching saucer. They are cold gilded with foliage and have a diaper pattern border around rim. Made circa 1750 – 1775.
Provenance
Made in Ironbridge, Shropshire circa 1750 - 1775. Bequeathed to the National Trust in the will of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall dated 28th July 1983. Accepted for ownership by the National Trust in 1993 following the death of Sir Arthur Paul Benthall in 1992.
