Summary
Print, line engraving, Robert Rich, 2nd Earl of Warwick (1587 – 1658) (after Van Dyck) by Jacobus Houbraken (Dordrecht 1698 - Amsterdam 1780). 1747. One of a set of ten engravings depicting notable seventeenth century figures. Half-length portrait, in an oval; almost facing. He has wavy hair, a moustache and beard; wearing a suit of armour and shirt with visible large white collar. Framed by a cartouche with draped fabric border and lion's head underneath. Inscribed with 'ROBERT RICH EARL OF WARWICK ADM[.L] 1642'.
