Summary
Oil painting on canvas, A Wild Boar Hunt by a follower of Frans Snyders (1579-1657), 17th century. Dark brown sow and four piglets attacked by a pack of sis hounds, five of the dogs attack the mother, the seventh attack a a piglet, bottom right. Towards the left, two piglets flee, while a third runs from beneath its mother. Set in a landscape, to the right, trees with huntsmen and dogs, to the right another boar hunt is in progress, hills beyond in the distance.
