Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Frances Legh of Bruch, Mrs Peter Legh XII (1670-1728) in the manner of Michael Dahl (1656–1743) or Charles d'Agar (1669–1723), circa 1690. Painted oval. Half-length portrait, turned slightly to the right, head inclined to the left, gazing at spectator, she has dark brown hair, a ringlet fallling on her left shoulder and she is wearing a loose white satin dress with a low neckline; aged about 25.
