A three-quarter-length portrait set against a dark background with drapery, facing slightly left of a middle-aged man with brown hair, full beard and moustache, wearing dark maroon jerkin and hose, black armour neckplate with a border of gold and red, white standing collar and cuffs. Black belt and hanger tooled with gold holted sword. His right hand grips the sword hilt, his left rests on a black helmet with gold and red collar.
