Summary
A late seventeenth-century kingwood or princes wood, oyster veneered cabinet on a stand with two doors opening to reveal ten drawers and an architectural centrepiece, which combines a chequered floor with columns and mirror glass the back. Above and below the doors are four more drawers and the frieze contains a reading slide. The internal drawers have brass knobs in the form of grotesque male masks. The stand has five tapering legs, solid stretchers and bun feet.
