Summary
Oil painting on oak panel, A Lady with her Nurse, by David Teniers the younger (Antwerp 1610 - Brussels 1690). Young woman, half-length, seated, turned to left facing, gazing at the spectator, her hands in a muff, wearing a ruby-red cape and a flat cap with a red plume. In left background, below an open window on the sill of which are two bottles, an elderly female servant is bending over a bundle, presumed to be a baby.

In the collection of the 3rd Earl of Egremont (1751-1837) by 1835. By descent to the current Lord Egremont. On loan from the Egremont Private Collection
