Summary
The Blathwayt family archive held at Gloucestershire Archive, spanning the sixteenth century to the mid twentieth century. D2659: Correspondence of William Blathwayt 1672-1704, plans and drawings for Dyrham c.1700-1800, estate maps 1689-1766, family diaries 1848-1934 [several hundred volumes], including diaries of Mary Blathwayt, suffragette 1894-1943, papers of women who married into the Blathwayt family 1802-1929; Dyrham tithe map and apportionment 1843; draft plan of three floors of the offices at Dyrham Park, undated, [1692-1702]. Deposited by the National Trust (Dyrham Park), 24 June 1971, 29 September 1976, 25 February 1981, 6 August 1982, 5 December 1988, 5 July 1991, 28 February and 11 March 1996, 5 March 1997, 28 May 1998, 2 April 2002, 7 July 2010 and 7 May 2014; these records are strays from the main collection of Blathwayt archives (D1799). Deposited by the National Trust (Dyrham Park), 24 June 1971, 29 September 1976, 25 February 1981, 6 August 1982, 5 December 1988, 5 July 1991, 28 February and 11 March 1996, 5 March 1997, 28 May 1998, 2 April 2002, 7 July 2010 and 7 May 2014; these records are strays from the main collection of Blathwayt archives (D1799). Some (D2659/3 and 4) bear notes indicating they were among the greater part of the collection held at Bristol University before deposit at Gloucestershire Record Office, and others were probably in the mansion, but overlooked at the time of deposit.
