Summary
Oil painting on canvas, a portrait of John Blathwayt (1690-1754), attributed to Enoch Seeman (Gdańsk c.1694 – London 1744), circa 1720s, inscribed with the name of the sitter. A three-quarter-length portrait of the younger son of William I Blathwayt, the builder of Dyrham. He is standing, facing the viewer, with his head turned slightly to the right. He wears a plum-coloured coat with white satin waistcoats and cuffs, and a shoulder-length wig. His right hand rests on his hip, and in his left hand he holds his hat.

Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961
