Summary
Oil painting on canvas, a portrait of William II Blathwayt (1688-1742), attributed to Enoch Seeman (Gdańsk c.1694 – London 1744), circa 1720s, inscribed with the name of the sitter. A three-quarter-length portrait of the elder son of William I Blathwayt, the builder of Dyrham Park. William II Blathwayt is shown standing, turned very slightly to the left, with his head turned slightly to the right. He wears a plum-coloured coat and a shoulder-length wig. His right hand is tucked into his coat, and in his left hand he holds a pair of gloves. A dark-coloured hat is tucked under his arm. Behind him, to the left, is a column.

Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works in 1956 and given to Dyrham Park in 1961
