Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Possibly Penelope Jenkinson, later Mrs William III Blathwayt (d.1755) as a Young Woman, manner of Thomas Hudson (Devonshire 1701 - Twickenham 1779). A half-length portrait of a young woman, turned to the right, with her head facing the viewer, in a blue dress with white lace trimmings, wearing a pearl necklace and pearls in her brown hair. In her hands she holds a piece of needlework, which she demonstrates to the viewer.
