Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Possibly Penelope Jenkinson, Mrs William III Blathwayt (d. 1755), in the manner of William Hoare of Bath, RA (Eye 1707 – Bath 1792). A head-and-shoulders portrait of a woman said to be Penelope Jenkinson, the first wife of William III Blathwayt (1719-1787). She is turned to the left, weating a white satin dress with lace sleeves, a blue bolero decorated with ermine, and a pink cloak.
