Summary
A feather banded walnut bureau cabinet, English, circa 1735 The upper section with a moulded cornice above a pair of beveled mirror doors enclosing shelves and an arrangement of five drawers to the base and a pair of candle slides. The lower section with an angled fall opening to reveal a fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes around a cupboard door, with four long graduated drawers below and raised on later bun feet. Brass handles and lock plates. This bureau cabinet is in excellent original condition, it retains its original mirrored glass and brass fittings, the feet are the only replacement. Note there is no key to lock this item.

Indigenous collection purchased by Ministry of Works and given to Dyrham Park in 1961.
