Summary
Oil painting on poplar panel, The Madonna and Child with Cherubim, Italian School, circa 1500. The Virgin, wearing a blue robe over a crimson dress, her hands clasped in prayer, is seated with the Child on her lap; around her are the winged heads of five child-angels, with a decoration of bayleaves at each side. A label on the back reads; Faisant partie de la Collection du Marquis de Beaulieu sous le No. 19 du Catalogue de la Vente 1837.
