Summary

One of a pair of Sevres bleu de roi vases, the almost cylindrical bodies painted on one side with cupids and on the other with Italianate landscapes, all contained in oval reserved panels; the vase supported on knopped stems and circular feet mounted in ormolu. Maker's mark - interlaced L's in blue. 1770 (circa).
