Summary
One of a pair of Chelsea groups, this representing the Labours of Hercules; Hercules wielding his club at the Hydra while Iolaus burns the serpent's heads with a red-hot brand. In the background is a tree covered with the golden apples of Hesperides. On high scoll base. Gold-painted anchor mark. circa 1759-64.
