Summary
Oil painting on canvas, John Cockayne (1641-1719), British (English) School, late 16th century. A three-quarter-length portrait of a man seated, wearing a black costume, white collar and long flowing wig. He holds a scroll in his right hand. He married Elizabeth Cust (1649-1739) in 1670, the only surviving daughter of Sir Richard Cust (1622-1700) and Beatrice Pury (1623-1715).
