Summary
Oil painting on canvas, King Charles II (1630-1685) in Garter Robes by Sir Peter Lely (Soest 1618 – London 1680) and Studio. A full-length portrait, seated turned to the left, gazing at the spectator in full Garter robes. The original being at Euston Hall. It is the last official portrait of the king and was much repeated.
