Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Lucy Cockayne Cust (1732-1804) by Thomas Hudson (Devonshire 1701 – Twickenham 1779), circa 1750. A half-length portrait of the fourth daughter of Sir Richard Cust, 2nd Bt (168-1734) and Anne Brownlow (1694-1779) as a young woman, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, her ark hair dressed with loops of pearls, and wearing a red dress with white puff sleeves, pearl ropes looped at the breast.
