Summary
Limewood or oak, painted, panel with baby satyr, putto and acanthus scrolls, in the style of Grinling Gibbons, British, late 17th century or c.1850-99. Painted wood panel carved with baby satyr and putto with a double acanthus scroll between them and single acanthus scrolls to their right and left. Framed with floral and ribbon motif. The panel is above the fireplace in the Cabinet Room; it was probably installed during the neo-Caroline restoration of Belton House by Adelbert, 3rd Earl Brownlow (1844-1921).
