Summary
One of a pair of jars, porcelain, round and of baluster shape, decorated in underglaze blue with petal-shaped panels containing vignettes of flowering plants, the neck with stylised flowers and tendrils reserved on a blue ground, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China, Kangxi period (1662–1722).

Possibly referred to in the 1754 Belton inventory, room no. 39 (presumed to be the Chapel Drawing Room): ‘Two large blue and white China jars 2 Do. (less)’.
