Hughenden 1-382 NRA 842 Disraeli Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield (1804-1881) was a statesman and author. He was Chancellor of the Exchequer, 1852, 1858-9, 1866-8 and Prime Minister 1868 and 1874-80. His father, Isaac D'Israeli (1766-1848), was an author. The papers were deposited in the Library in 1982 and 1984, by the National Trust.
