Summary
Textile Box 4. A pair of pelmets. Block and roller printed chintz. Glazed cotton, floral designs within cartouches with scrolls between, white ground, stained to beige. Lined in plain cream cotton. Cotton braid along the bottom edge. Beige webbing tape across the top, box pleats. A narrow header tape, attached with tacks- now removed. See also T/233,548,584 and 666.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
