Summary
Oil painting on canvas. Sir Henry Hobart 1st Bt (d.1625), after Daniel Mytens the elder (Delft c.1590 – The Hague 1648), 17th century. A three-quarter-length portrait of the builder of Blickling, in his robes as Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas. Crimson and ermine robes, black belt, lace and gilt cap and lace ruff. Gilt chain of office. Ring on left hand. Giltwood frame.
