Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Sir Thomas Sebright, 4th Baronet (1692-1762) or Mr Crawley by William Aikman (Forfar 1682 – London 1731). A full-length portrait, standing leaning left elbow on parapet, left leg crossed over right. Full grey wig. Wearing brown coat and breeches, silver-grey brocade waistcoat, white shirt and cravat, grey hose, black shoes with silver buckles holding black hat. Right hand holding gold-topped cane. Left hand holding black tricorn hat with silver lace braid. Sword hilt hanging at left.
