Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Anne Morice, Lady Pole of Werrington (d.1713/14) by John Riley (London 1646 – London 1691). A three-quarter-length portrait seated in a garden wearing a red dress and blue cloak and probably painted before her marriage. She was the youngest daughter of Sir William Morice KT and married Sir John Pole, 3rd Bt, son of Sir Courtenay Pole, 2nd Bt and Ureth Shapcote. Their children were: Sir William Pole, 4th Bt (1678-1741), John Pole (d.1710), Urith Pole, and the Reverend Carolus Pole (c.1686-1731).
