Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Thomas I Walker by British (English) School, circa 1710/25. A painted oval, half-length portrait of the sitter against a plain beige background turned slightly towards the left and looking out at the spectator. He wears long, grey powdered wig which falls behind his shoulders and a blue velvet coat. A white cravat is tied at the neck and a large silver tassel hangs from a buttonhole at his chest.

Acquired through the National Land Fund and transferred to the National Trust in 1980
