Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Margaret Kempson, Mrs Thomas Ferrers (m.1737), British (English) School, circa 1735/45. A painted oval, half-length portrait with the sitter turned slightly towards the left against a plain brown background, looking out at the spectator. She wears a white lace cap above dark brown hair and pearl cluster earrings and a white satin robe trimmed with panels of gold embroidery, a gold, tasselled bow at the breast. A companion to 343150, a portrait of the sitter's husband, Thomas Ferrers (1713-1760). Daughter of John Kempson of Henley-in-Arden; married in 1737, Thomas Ferrers (1713-1760)
