Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady, aged 29 in a Richly Decorated Dress, possibly Amy Seymour, Mrs Edmund Parker (1597 - 1639), British (English) School, early 17th century. Bears inscription to the left: An. Dom. 1623 / Aetatis 29. There is a similar portrait, in same pose with different decorative dress, with birds but without oval subject panels of Venus and Cupid, representing love, attributed to follower of Robert Peake in the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum.

Accepted by HM Treasury in part payment of death-duties from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877-1951) and transferred to the National Trust in 1957; on loan to Trerice
