Summary
Oil painting on canvas, King Charles I (1600-1649), after Sir Anthony Van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - London 1641). A full-length portrait, to right, with his right hnad on his hip. A copy of the original 1636 painting in the Royal Collection, which would have been intended for the Cross Gallery at Somerset House.

Accepted by HM Treasury in part payment of death-duties from the executors of Edmund Robert Parker, 4th Earl of Morley (1877-1951) and transferred to the National Trust in 1957 at Saltram; on loan to Trerice
