Provenance: library of Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742) of Nocton, Lincolnshire. Binding: eighteenth-century sprinkled brown calf inboard binding with double gilt fillet and blind palmette border. Blind roll pattern on board edges. Five raised bands; gilt tooled spine with gilt title on brown goatskin label. Endbands with red and cream thread. Pastedown with conjugate endleaf and additional endleaves at both ends. Red sprinkled edges.
