The third leaf is signed “a2” and has p. vi on the verso. Sig. 4C is misbound. Bookseller’s price code on front free endpaper: m-my/x. 20C label pasted onto top left-hand corner of bookplate with ms “81K 148” Provenance: Armorial bookplate: Sir Walter Stirling Bart. F.R.S. & A.S. [with motto: Gang Forward]; Black ink stamp: The National Trust founded 1895. Binding: Late eighteenth-century straight grained red sheep over boards on five recessed cords with five offset false double spine bands, thick and thin gilt fillet and title on spine, thick and thin gilt fillet with inner foliage roll on covers, gilt fillet on board edges, gilt roll on board inners, gilt edges, two blue silk bookmarks. Back flyleaf has watermark “1797”.
