[59] leaves of plates (55 double leaves, 4 folded single leaves) : all ill. ; fol. Running number: 7456. Water-staining at head of leaves throughout. Shelved and uniform with two other volumes of collected plates by Jean Le Pautre, Pierre Lepautre and others. Provenance: manuscript inscription on front fly-leaf: "59. Plates" [i.e. count of the leaves of plates, written by John Mitchell (ca. 1685-1751), librarian to Sir Richard Ellys (1682-1742)]. Manuscript codes in pencil on front fly-leaf: "3d" and "1:D:s-". Binding: late seventeenth or early eighteenth-century full mottled calf; sewn onto five raised bands; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spine; gilt title 'Orneme histoir barreli efre & tombeau' on brown sheepskin label and author statement 'De Le Pautre pere & autres' lettered direcly on spine. Red sprinkled textblock edges.
