Provenance: eighteenth century manuscript inscription "E libris Davenport Talbot", i.e. William Davenport Talbot, 1764-1800, on title-page. Binding: seventeenth century blind-tooled sprinkled calf; fragment of manuscript title label in seventeenth century capitalized Roman characters on spine; splashes of what appears to be red sealing-wax on upper board; text bloxk edges sprinkled red and brown.
