Binding: eighteenth-century full calf; sewn onto six sewing supports; six raised bands; double and single gilt fillet border on covers; gilt roll pattern along board edges; gold-tooled spines, with fillet, roll (including crowned dolphin and fleur-de-lys roll) and stamp (including birds and floral stamps) decoration; brown goatskin title label and dark brown (possibly once olive green) goatskin vol. number label on spines. Red stained and burnished bookblock edges. Marbled endpapers.
