Blank leaves annotated in an eighteenth-century hand include notes on shopping. Provenance: Black ink stamp: The National Trust founded 1895. Binding: Eighteenth-century red goat over boards, gilt tooling on spine, covers and board edges. Geometric pattern on covers includes sunburst centrepieces and crowns within rhomboids. Holes for two pairs of metal? clasps.
