Bookplate probably removed from front pastedown $zBinding: English seventeenth-century full black goatskin over boards, gilt tooling to spine and board edges in imitation of the Devotional binder. The same design at BL Davis121 on an Allestree from 1678. Characteristic tooling includes panelling with acorns, tulips, grapes and chrysanthemums, gilt edges.
