Manuscript bookseller's[?] code on front endpaper: "4 vol: x: k:". Binding: late seventeenth or early eighteenth-century full mottled calf; sewn on five supports; five raised bands; blind roll pattern on board edges; gold-tooled spine; brown leather gilt title label on spine 'Boyle Works Vol. I'; red and brown sprinkled bookblock edges.
