Binding: Eighteenth-century red goat over boards, cottage-style tooling on covers includes vases and birds, gilt roll on board edges, gilt edges. Front cover leather wraps around and fastens to back cover with a metal clasp. Six horizontal holes in fore-edge leather [to take metal stylus? - now wanting]. Two different sets of hand-printed endpapers; the endpapers attached to both covers have green silk pieces added to them to form pockets.
