His sale catalogue 1747 lists under lot 4268 Nanteuils heads 1679); 1897 Waddesdon catalogue, p.59. Binding: English russia gilt, about 1740. Cover with undulating scroll roll and deeper border; green and blue lettering and numeration pieces; gilt spine with acorn and other tools; board edges and turn-in with roll repeating three stylised fleur-de-lis ornaments. Edges gilt, combed marble endleaves. Endleaves watermarked. This seems to be a nineteenth-century rebinding.
