Binding: eighteenth-century sprinkled calf (worn), dot-line-dot gilt border with gilt and laurel cornerpieces; blind rolled pattern on board edges; six raised bands, gilt-tooled spine with gilt title "AUBREY HIST OF SURREY" on goatskin label; four supports laced-in; pastedown with sewn-endleaf attachment and endleaves; red sprinkled edges.
