Summary
A collection of Printed and Manuscript Sources for Haydn's Two Marches for the Derbyshire Yeomanry Cavalry, (Hob. VIII, Nos, 1 and 2) original parts and first editions plus the original plates for the printing. Manuscript of March No1 in E flat major, full score, signed by Haydn ''di me Giuseppe Hayden (paraph)'', the music in the hand of Johann Elssler (1769 - 1843), with corrections by him; the Stichvorlage, marked by the printer in orange crayon, 4 pages, oblong folio, a bifolium. Scored for trumpet, 2 horns, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons and serpent. The stave for "Militair Instr" is blank.
