Summary
Portrait miniature, oil on copper, An Unknown Lady called Mary Queen of Scots (1542–1587) (after Isaac Oliver), British (English) School, possibly after George Vertue or Jacobus Houbraken. Painted oval. Half-length portrait of a lady wearing a lace ring around her head with a black cap on top. She has a loose ruff and a heavy pearl and ruby necklace. She has black puffed sleeves and a red bodice embroidered in gold with a white blouse above.
